Last week at the Leadership class meeting, we talked briefly about the problems in life that we can correct and we went to a Youth Poetry Slam event called Fresh Heat. Fresh Heat is in my opinion the hottest poetry slam in Baton Rouge. It is held on the third Thursday of every month. This is the time and place for youth poets to get together and bring their poetry to the stage. It gives them a chance to express themselves and put their thoughts or worries into someone else
