Writing Mentor (~2 hours/week)
Essays are essential in the college/scholarship application process. Writing Mentors provide copyediting, content, and style support to up to five Senior Fellows as they work to craft effective personal statements, get into their dream colleges, and secure scholarships. LSU Fanatics (10 hours, once)
Join BRYC for a day at an LSU home football game. For every BRYC volunteer working at the LSU Sports Shop on a game day, BRYC receives $90! In return, volunteers experience the one-of-a-kind game day atmosphere of Tiger Stadium, develop valuable customer service skills, and gain service hours! Interested? College Mentor (~3 hours/week)
The College Mentor Program pairs each Senior Fellow with a personal guide for the college process. Working closely for a year, Fellows and College Mentors build strong personal bonds that transcend BRYC and high school! Tutor (1 – 2 hours/week)
BRYC helps Fellows meet their academic goals by offering free tutoring Monday through Thursday afternoons/evenings. Tutors should be confident in one or more subjects and willing to devote 1 – 2 hours per week to our Fellows. Help our Fellows earn the grades they need to get into and excel at great colleges!
