Bree Spielfogel, Fellow Support Coordinator
As the fellow support coordinator, Bree works to support Fellows with their mental and emotional health by providing individual intervention sessions, time management workshops, and psycho-educational groups.
Originally from New Orleans, Bree spent a large portion of her childhood in Ohio where she attended the University of Dayton and earned a bachelor’s degree in special education: intervention specialist. Bree has been a Baton Rouge educator for more than eight years, teaching at Broadmoor Middle School, THRIVE Academy, and University Prep Elementary. She has also been a basketball and volleyball coach, dean of students and school leader earning a certificate from the RELAY Graduate School of Education in school leadership.
Currently Bree is over halfway through her graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania where she’ll soon have her masters in mental health counseling. She also teaches yoga and has been a BRYC mentor for seven years. When not at BRYC, Bree interns at the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center where she works with youth and families impacted by abuse, violent crimes, or significant trauma. Bree also serves on the Beth Shalom Synagogue Board and is passionate about her two “support animals,” Ms. Posie and Ms. Hava.
