Dani Klein, Director of Curriculum
In 2018, Dani joined BRYC’s as Freshmen Programs Coordinator. In this role, Dani oversaw staggering academic and socioemotional growth, adding to her track record of effectively ushering 8th graders through their high school transition. In summer 2019, Dani was promoted to Director of Curriculum. In this capacity, she supports a significantly larger 9th and 10th grade cohort and has designed a curriculum centering on 1) academic growth through self-regulated learning and 2) socioemotional growth through teamwork and project-based learning. Dani’s work at BRYC is informed by her doctoral work in curriculum and instruction at Louisiana State University, which she completed in spring 2020.
Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Dani has been in education since before college, delivering reading interventions to elementary schoolers as a City Year Miami corps member after she graduated high school. Next, Dani earned an M.A. from Marquette University in English Literature, after which she spent a year in Madrid examining international curricula as a Fulbright Scholar. Upon returning to the U.S., Dani taught 8-12th grade English for two years in St. Helena, Louisiana before joining BRYC.
