More Fellows will pursue healthcare careers, thanks to generous BRYC donors, the BCBSLA Foundation, and The Baton Rouge Clinic’s $50,000 Health Fellows scholarship match. The scholarship is one dimension of the Health Fellows program, BRYC’s partnership with The Clinic, BCBSLA Foundation, and Fran U, aimed at advancing healthcare equity for future patients and practitioners. A total of $75,000 will be available this spring to Fellows aspiring to be health and wellness professionals. The other dimension is programmatic. In 2021-2022, 60 Health Fellows will deep-dive into professions ranging from direct patient care, to allied health, to data and marketing.
