Alyson joined the BRYC team in December 2025. As director of development, she is responsible for creating and executing BRYC’s fundraising strategy and securing the vital resources that fuel BRYC’s transformative work.

After earning a bachelor’s in elementary education from LSU, Alyson spent several rewarding years in the classroom teaching 3rd–5th graders, gaining firsthand insight into student needs. Seeking to support education on a broader scale, she transitioned into development, working at the LSU Foundation before finding her perfect fit at BRYC.

Alyson is a self-proclaimed caffeine addict — a habit confirmed by CEO Lucas Spielfogel, who calls her the biggest coffee drinker he’s ever met. A dancer from ages 3 to 18, she later became an instructor and nationally award-winning choreographer. This lifetime dedication to movement instilled a lasting love of music: her playlists range from ABBA and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Aretha Franklin and Hozier. Alyson shares her life with high school sweetheart turned husband Sean, their spirited one-year-old son Oliver, and golden retriever Zuko.
