INSTRUCTIONAL LEAD

Brei joined BRYC in spring 2020 and held several roles before transitioning to her current position as instructional lead. Brei drives instructional coaching initiatives, helping her colleagues become more effective educators, while also leading the underclassmen program managers, designing socioemotional learning (SEL) curriculum, and advising on BRYC’s parent/guardian communications. 

A native of Port Allen, La., Brei earned her bachelor’s of science from Southeastern Louisiana University in family studies and human development in 2018. After graduating, she was a teacher-in-residence of the Relay Graduate School of Education, obtaining her master’s in teaching and special education in 2020. She became “Dr. Brei” in 2025 with the conferral of a doctorate from the American College of Education. Brei is also a graduate of Baton Rouge Alliance for Student’s CHANGEMAKERS and Louisiana Association of Charter Schools’ Charter Board Leadership Academy, and she was recently named a “Twenty in their 20s” by 225 Magazine. Outside of BRYC, Brei loves spending time with family and her dogs Bentley and Bluebell.
