Class of 2023 Spotlight: Armani Brown

Graduating with the Department of Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication’s (SLMC) Exemplar Student Award, Armani Brown (Scotlandville ’17, Howard ’23) traded D.C. for NYC when he accepted a paid summer residency with global advertising firm Wieden + Kennedy. W+K knew what they were getting in Armani, having previously awarded him a $30,000 HBCU Scholarship. Armani’s other accomplishments include serving as marketing lead for The Hilltop business team and account executive in SLMC’s CapComm Lab and being mentored by a Fortune 500 CEO. This spring, Armani and a team of Howard students competed in PSAid, a nationwide annual contest of public service announcements focused on international disaster relief, winning first place in the GIF category.
