Even from afar, BRYC Alumni make close connections with Fellows.

Jordan Miller (BRMHS ’17, Fashion Institute of Technology ’21) collaborated with In-School College Counselor Tavidee Hoskins to support aspiring designers at Tara High School. Jordan, a Boston-based designer for athletic shoe and apparel brand Puma, was soon communicating regularly with In-School Seniors Chance and Martrail. Because the in-school program places BRYC counselors directly in high school classrooms, introducing in-school Fellows to Alumni is critical for building a sense of the broader BRYC Community. Despite a 1,500 mile separation, Tavidee said Jordan and the Tara Fellows have been eagerly exchanging messages, with Martrail sharing some of his designs and plans for a virtual meetup in the works.
