- Alumna Emma Lacy (University of Louisiana-Lafayette ’19) started a new job as a human resources analyst for the Louisiana Division of Administration.
- Alumna Yasmyne Wells (Southern University and A&M College ’23) was featured in 225 Magazine for her small business, Just Growing Here.
- College Fellow Carvin Banks II (Baton Rouge Community College ’27) was named GEO Prep Mid-City’s Teacher Assistant of the Year.
- College Fellow Royale Bey (Louisiana State University ’26) has been awarded LSU’s Distinguished Communicator Medal.
- College Fellow Lailah Collins (Southern ’27) landed an internship with Nucor.
- Soon-to-be-graduate Raelyn Edwards (LSU ’26) will kick off her career by interning at Smurfit Westrock.
- College Fellow Sydni Wheeler was accepted into the Tisch Scholars Program for her sophomore year at Tufts University.
- Senior Fellow Kamryn McKinnis (Jehovah-Jirah Christian Academy) spoke out in defense of the LA Gator Scholarship Program at a rally on April 22.
- Senior Fellow Madison Parker (Madison Prep) was honored for achieving the highest ACT score among Madison Prep’s Class of 2026.
- Senior Fellow Anña-Liza Washington (BRMHS) is one of only 50 young women worldwide selected for the 2026 GLOW global cohort (Girls Leading Our World).
- Junior Fellow Samara Bryant (BRMHS) was accepted into University of Chicago’s Summer Session program.
- In-School ACT juniors Mariya Winn and Joshua Dukes received the highest ACT scores in their grade at Istrouma on the December and March ACT, respectively.
- Research mentor Zenora Hambrick is graduating from Southern University Law Center in May.
- Alumna and current BRYC mentor Zoe Jones (Southeastern Louisiana University ’26) tied the knot on April 24.
- Chief of Staff Josh Howard was named the inaugural “Adjunct of the Year” for LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication.
