College Fellow Myra N. Richardson (BRMHS ’17, Southern University ’22) is the youngest recipient of Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40”. At BRYC, she was known for fiercely amplifying others’ voices and leading a protest march in response to Alton Sterling’s killing that garnered personal commendation from President Obama. Now, she ignites positive change and supports Black-owned businesses as president of Red Torch Consulting. She’s also received multiple high-level awards for her advocacy efforts. “You deserve a seat at the table and to speak for the communities you represent,” Myra said. “That authenticity will make a space for you.”
