10 BRYC graduates bring total college degree-holders to 150

Congratulations to our December graduates! These  former College Fellows join a cohort of Alumni that’s now 150 college grads strong.

  • Londyn Edwards, LSU – Biological Sciences

  • Kyron Freeman, Morehouse – Political Science
  • Jennifer Ndulaka, LSU – Biochemistry
  • Amber Richardson, Southern – Nursing
  • Jeanne Smith, UL-Lafayette – Biology
  • Kiersten Smith, LSU – Psychology
  • Dailynn Thomas, Southern – Electrical Engineering

  • Jahmea Williams, Southern – Nursing

Speaking at BRYC’s Power Lunch event on December 8, newly-minted registered nurse Amber Richardson, who will begin a full-time job at Baton Rouge General in January, thanked Director of BRYC’s Persistence Catherine Molleno for “wearing many hats” in response to any given need. “At times she was my financial advisor, my tutoring resource, my therapist, occasionally my literal calendar, but most importantly, somebody who was reliably in my corner. For students like me who aren’t born with a thick safety net, reliability of resources is a constant worry that my relationship to BRYC has calmed repeatedly. Ms. Cat was the face of that calm,” Amber shared.

Two Senior Fellows are also early to the grad party. This spring, Teralyn Davis (Scotlandville) is headed to Nicholls State and Da’Nija LeBlanc (Broadmoor) is off to Southeastern. Way to hustle!
