Introducing BRYC's 2024 Health Fellows Scholars!
Once again, The Baton Rouge Clinic is creating more equitable, affordable pathways to careers in healthcare.
By Elin Hawkinson
The Baton Rouge Clinic awarded $5,000 scholarships to 10 BRYC Health Fellows. At an April 6 reception, Clinic leaders recognized five Senior Fellows and five College Fellows for their commitment to serving in healthcare or allied fields, marking the fourth year in a row The Clinic has invested deeply in Fellows’ career aspirations. The 2024 cohort participated in a competitive application process that included review by a panel of Clinic and community partners and BRYC staff and volunteers.
“The Baton Rouge Clinic is excited to extend its collaboration with BRYC in tackling the pervasive social injustices and healthcare disparities. With a shared vision of fostering equity in healthcare, this partnership aims to empower diverse students in overcoming obstacles and pursuing higher education, ultimately paving the way for a more inclusive healthcare workforce,” shared Ed Silvey, CEO.
