The Baton Rouge Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, and 225 Magazine recognize Executive Director Lucas Spielfogel for setting an example of excellence. In December 2022, The Links, Incorporated, an international service organization of professional Black women, named Lucas a Role Model of the Year at their annual New Orleans-style jazz brunch fundraiser. Role Models embody one of five core service pillars; in Lucas’ case, “Services to Youth.” In January, 225 Magazine’s annual People to Watch feature highlighted his impact on Fellows stemming from a simple but powerful conviction: “When a person has access to what they need, they can do amazing things.”
