Royale Bey completes KOA internship activities

College Fellow Royale Bey (Indira Mura Institute ’21, LSU ’25) recently completed Kampgrounds of America, Inc.’s (KOA) 12-week internship pilot, developed in partnership with BRYC. In June 2022, KOA Workforce Development Manager Ericka Garcia-Travis contacted BRYC to gauge Alumni interest in campground management. Over several months, Director of Persistence Catherine Molleno played a pivotal role in crafting the pilot program. In its first summer, interns from LSU, Southern, and Bethune-Cookman University served at seven KOA sites across the U.S. Ericka reported that Royale was a standout: “Royale’s key strengths include his friendly personality and drive to make the most of this internship … He sets a high bar.”
